You can connect your Suunto app or Polar Flow account to PowerCenter. PowerCenter will automatically import data from the Suunto/Polar platform, but you can also fetch data manually after your run. Suunto/Polar only record some of the Stryd metrics, including Power. Hence, your data that flows to PowerCenter will miss vertical oscillation, leg spring stiffness, ground contact time, form power. You can still get this data. These are the steps:
1. Sync your watch with the Polar/Suunto platform. Wait for the data to appear in PowerCenter and/or the Stryd app on your phone. Please note: it may take a couple of hours to see your Polar/Suunto data in PowerCenter.
2. Sync your data from Stryd using your phone.
PowerCenter will try to merge the data from Suunto/Polar with Stryd data to give you all the metrics. There are sometimes problems with the merge of data from the Suunto watch and uploaded directly from Stryd with the phone. Often it works fine, and then sometimes it does not. We are aware of the issue, but it is not easy to fix. To improve performance, avoid pausing your watch.
These are two recommended workarounds:
- If you only care about power data, it is recommended that you do not use your phone to sync your data (which means you will not get your VOSC, Form Power and other metrics)
- If you are interested in all your Stryd metrics, it is suggested to disconnect PowerCenter from Movescount and only use your phone to upload data. The missing metrics will be the GPS map and heart rate.
