In the improve tab, the terminology "long, sustained run" is used. For experienced runners that have run for several years, and run significant distances weekly, the long, sustained run is typically 20% to 30% of weekly total.
For beginning runners, the long, sustained run likely is the longest they have run to date. This can be 6 - 10 miles depending on runner's fitness and ability.
