The Stryd system uses an internal barometer to determine your elevation. The barometer relies on the hole on the bottom of your Stryd to get a good pressure reading.
If you are running in wet conditions, water can temporarily affect the pressure reading. And wind can affect the barometer reading as well. Elevation readings are very sensitive, and a small variation in pressure can have a significant impact on the calculated incline and thus power.
These effects are temporary and do not permanently damage your Stryd pod even though you might see peaks in your power data in PowerCenter. If your run inadvertently affected your Critical Power calculation, you can exclude the run from the calculations by excluding the run in the Stryd app on your phone.
