Stryd uses an internal barometer to determine your elevation. The barometer relies on the hole on the bottom of your Stryd to get a good pressure reading.
If you are running in wet conditions, water can temporarily affect the pressure reading. And wind can affect the barometer reading as well. Elevation readings are very sensitive, and a small variation in pressure can have a significant impact on the calculated incline and thus power.
These effects are temporary and do not permanently damage your Stryd even though you might see peaks in your power data in PowerCenter.
