Why does my Suunto/Polar data show up twice in TrainingPeaks/Final Surge/Etc.?

If you use a Suunto or Polar watch, or use another watch or platform that does not record the advanced Stryd metrics, you can still get those metrics by doing an offline sync. Stryd will attempt to merge the data into one data set. However, there can be a complication if you export data for TrainingPeaks, Final Surge or any other platform. 

When your Suunto/Polar data is loaded into the Stryd platform, it will immediately be exported, before the data from Stryd has been uploaded and merged. Then, after the merge, another data set will be created which, once again, will be exported. You will, therefore, end up with two data sets for the same run in TrainingsPeaks, Final Surge, etc.

These are possible workarounds:

1. Link the Suunto/Polar platform directly to your analytics platform and disconnect the Stryd platform.

2. Delete the duplicate from your analytics platform manually each time.

3. Disconnect the Stryd platform from your analytics platform and export the data manually from PowerCenter and import it manually each time.

The Stryd development team is considering a solution to this issue.
