With the new Stryd IQ app, you have the option of creating a workout. You can have a max of two workouts. When you have two workouts already created, creating a new workout will override/replace the oldest workout.
Creating a workout consists of the following steps which are covered in detail below:
- Create a block
- Add segments to block
- Save Block
- Add more blocks or repeat
- Save Workout
CREATING A BLOCK
- To create a block simply select ‘Add New Block’.
- Next, you will be brought to the block menu where you will create segments
ADDING SEGMENTS TO A BLOCK
You will be able to create up to 10 Segments per block. Selecting ‘Add New Segment’ will bring you to the Segment Creation flow, where you will select the following;
Target Power - Target Power for the segment
Range - +/- range for target power.
Duration - Duration of the segment in minutes
REPEATING A BLOCK
Repeating a block will repeat all segments in that block the desired number of times.
Example: If your block contains the following...
SEGMENT 1 -> Target Power: 290 Duration: 1 Mins
SEGMENT 2 -> Target Power:100 Duration: 1 Min
If you set repeat to 6, you will have 12 segments in the block that look like the following.
SAVING A BLOCK
Once you are done adding segments and choosing the number of times to repeat the block, save your block (You will be able to edit these blocks so don’t worry about making a mistake). This will then allow you to add more blocks to your liking.
SAVING/NAMING A WORKOUT
Before saving your workout it is highly recommended to name your workout. Find the ‘WORKOUT NAME’ selector and you will be able to name the workout.
If you are finished adding your blocks and naming your workout select ‘SAVE WORKOUT’ to save your workout and return you to the workout selection screen where you can execute your created workout.
