I had one run that had higher power but slower pace. How should I analyze the reason?
I had one track interval session earlier this week: 3min 105% CP * 5 times. During this session my interval power was 261-265w, my pace was 4:08-4:04 min/km. The form power ratio was generally 0.23. Wind power 2-5%.
About 5 weeks ago, I had a fairly flat 5k road race. I ran 3:59 min/km with average power of 258w. The form power ratio was 0.24. Wind power 1-3%.
I am surprised to see that my recent interval session had higher power but at lower pace than my 5k race. The only difference I can think of is the shoes. For the interval training, I had rebel v2 on while for the 5k race I had vaporfly.
Anything else that could contribute to the difference?

Hi Yunpeng, this sounds like expected power responsiveness. Assuming both the workout and race were on similarly flat surface, you're seeing more power from Air Power in the workout. This can cause power to be higher at a slower pace.
